Sometimes as human beings,we fail to realize what the consequence(s) of any action we might have taken. Take for instance, a child that went against the will of his parents may fail to realize that doing so might land him in big trouble eventually.
This piece discuses a boy, who instead of facing his studies while in school, decided to join a bad group was eventually arrested by the police, and having being convicted, was jailed.
Rainbow (not the real name),was born into an averagely rich family. He was the second child of a family of four children and the only male child.
Throughout his primary and secondary schools education, he was a role model among his schoolmates. Not only that he was academically sound, he was equally a all rounder in sporting activities. He's always representing the school in sporting activities and always coming first. So also in the academics. He left the secondary school at a very tender age of fourteen having got an admission to study Medicine and Surgery in the University.
As expected, he got an accommodation to stay in one of the University's Hall of residence.
One evening, on his way back from the school's library, two boys of ages twenty walked up to him. They asked him the way to the nearest fast food joint on campus. As he was trying to describe the nearest one for them, one of them succeeded in convincing him to follow them to the place, which he eventually agreed.
Getting to the cafeteria , the boys requested for their favorites and equally for him too. As they were eating, not knowing to the boys,Rainbow was amazed that such small boys could requested for bottles of beer and a pack of cigarettes. After the meal, the boys requested for his phone numbers for future communication. They left him and went away.
Few days later, they decided to call him to appreciate him for the other day. Luckily, his line went through. He agreed to pay them a visit. Getting to their place, he met some other two boys with them. They introduced him to them. Rainbow was surprised to see how well finished their room was. They were about going out when he arrived. Hence, they got no option than to take him out with them. In front of their room was a Toyota Sienna bus parked. They all went downstairs. One of the boys used a remote control in his hand to open the driver's side door. Having sat down in the vehicle, he manually unlock the other doors for others to enter. Though Rainbow didn't know where the boys were going, he decided not to ask any of them. After driving for about twenty minutes, the driver left the main road and took a turning to the right. After two minutes of driving,he parked. Everybody alighted from the vehicle. They all entered a beer parlour. All the boys requested for the types of beer they wanted to drink, except Rainbow. The service man went to him to ask for the type of drink he would like to take. Rainbow, though had never taken any alcoholic drinks in his life, requested for beer too. He did this so that the boys would not think less of him. Before he could finish a bottle, he was already making mess of himself. The boys had to hurriedly leave the beer parlour because Rainbow had already vomited on his body. They took him to their room so that he could clean him up of the vomit. When he woke up, the boys revealed to him their secret of lavish spending. They told him how they use to rub at night and that they would be glad if he could join them. Rainbow agreed to do so after swearing to an oath of not revealing the secret to anyone. The first and the second robbery operations were successful. However, the third one was not. Not known to them, the vigilante ambushed them and Rainbow and one of the boys were arrested, while others were shot dead.
The sad news came to the knowledge of the school's authority who later called for an emergency meeting in which both the parents of the boys and Rainbow were summoned up. Both Rainbow and the other boy caught were charged to Court after the police investigation.
On the Judgement's day,the judge pronounced that Rainbow and the other boy be executed.
