UNBELIEVABLE ! POLITICIANS STOLE BAGS OF RICE !

A supervisory Councilor, Umar Ibrahim of Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State and another politician, Ali Zangebe have been sentenced to two years in prison by a Borno State High Court.
The court convicted the two for stealing about 180 bags of rice meant for the Internally Displaced Persons at the IDP camps in the Northeastern part of the country.
Investigation revealed that the rice was donated by foreign donors to alleviate the suffering of the people who had quit their homes due to the menace of Boko Haram insurgence.
The court charged the two politicians alongside a former council Chairman of Mafa Local Government, Shettima Maina.
Reacting to the judgment, the prosecuting Lawyer for EFCC Khalid Sanusi, described the judgment as a welcome development, adding that it brings justice to the people.
Recalled that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Engr. Babachir Lawal was suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari for allegedly diverting funds meant for the rehabilitation of the Boko Haram ravaged Northeast to a company where he is a director.
Lawal had awarded a grass cutting contract to the tune of about N250 million to his company and he is presently facing probe led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
As at yesterday, the panel was yet to submit its report while the senate kicked that it would reject outright any attempt to re-appoint Lawal into the Federal Executive Council.
